The Author: Stefano Mazzotti holds a degree in Natural Sciences from the University of Parma. He is Director of the Museum of Natural History in Ferrara, where he also works as a researcher and curator of the vertebrate zoology section. He is Adjunct Professor at the University of Ferrara.
Publications include: Lost Explorers. Forgotten Stories of Italian Naturalists of the Late 19th Century (Codice Edizioni, 2023); Wonderful Creatures. Life’s Diversity as We’ve Never Known It (Il Mulino, 2024).
