“FoCuS is,” a promotional campaign to introduce the Santarcangelo Culture Foundation
A new image, new coordinated logos, new colours, and dedicated websites tell the story of what’s new at the Focus Foundation.
But there is just as much news to discover, rediscover, and experience within the institutions themselves – changes resulting from the reorganisation the Foundation has undergone in recent years and from PNRR funding secured and rapidly translated into projects and new developments.
The rollout of Sanlab at the Baldini Library (Santarcangelo’s own take on a FabLab), the tactile pathways at MUSAS, and the opening of the storage collection now open to visitors at the MET are just the beginning – while we await the new MET, fully renovated and rethought in its internal layout.
FoCuS è la Fondazione cheFoCuS is the Foundation that manages the municipal museums, MET and MUSAS, and the Baldini Library. It conceives and develops events, planning artistic initiatives and territorial promotion by expanding services and spaces dedicated to cultural offerings. On behalf of the Municipality of Santarcangelo, it curates and organises the summer, Christmas, and New Year events calendar, as well as cultural events related to equal opportunities, youth creativity, and contemporary art.
The promotional campaign titled “FoCuS is” tells the story of the changes achieved over the past three years through PNRR funding, totalling roughly €700,000 in projects.

Starting with the Supercinema, which reopened after a long energy-efficiency renovation with a new project and a new identity: C’entro. Run in partnership with Santarcangelo dei Teatri, the new management offers a varied programme designed to welcome and engage anyone wishing to enrich their participation, in a space conceived to foster the community’s creative drive. Not just a venue for enjoying culture, but also for education and artistic and cultural production.
While awaiting the new MET, the municipal museums have redesigned the layout of their visitor route.
Through PNRR accessibility grants, MUSAS will be able to offer a new way of telling historical and human stories, using tools that combine a visual and tactile approach with new technologies. At the heart of the city, a new multisensory route – engaging, suitable for everyone, and made to be experienced hands-on.
The MET, meanwhile, is putting its long period of forced closure – due to renovation work on the museum’s central building – to good use, turning it into an opportunity for new discoveries. New exhibition spaces have opened, including the Heritage Storage (now open to visitors) and the MEET garden, the museum’s courtyard, increasingly open and accessible to all. Two spaces that continue to remind us that our roots open up new horizons.
Finally, the Baldini Library, which, although it did not receive PNRR funding, has managed to regenerate its identity as the “beating cultural heart” of the Santarcangelo community. It is a place woven from relationships, where everyone can find their own space thanks to a wide-ranging cultural programme suited to every age and need. Study and work rooms, author talks held as part of the new “Liminal Readings” series, workshops, activities, reading groups, and FabLab technologies all help turn the Baldini into a library that goes beyond books.
